My home city (or town as many would call it) is Trondheim, Norway, and this is also the city you will find most photos of on my site. The links to the pictures will be given with a short description. I can also add that the building you now see in the background is Tyholttårnet (the Tyholt Tower) - in the eastern suburbs of Trondheim.
Trondheim is the third biggest city in Norway. Only Oslo (south-eastern Norway) and Bergen (western Norway) are bigger, but that does not mean that Trondheim is merely a small town. It has only got 150,000 inhabitants, but it spans over an area that would fit a city with ten times as many people than what is the case.
Norway has got five boroughs with more than 100,000 people:
All four major cities lie in different counties,
and in different parts of the country. The thing they've all got in common
is that they are situated by the coastal line of Norway (which in fact
is huge)
Norway has about 4.5 million inhabitants, and in
year 2000 one out of the nineteen counties had less than 100,000 people;
the northernmost county Finnmark (74,059).
Well, about me: My name is Thomas Jacobsson, I'm
19 years old, and has just graduated from college. I studied the I.B.,
something I really did enjoy (although my score wasn't too high - 33 pts).
On 10 July I joined the Norwegian Air Force, and will do compulsory military
service until 9 July 2002. If you want to comment to this page, or get
in touch - please do send me an e-mail.
Also, if you've got a good site containing
urban/city photos, let me know. I'm considering making a page with links
to other photo sites, but this can't be done without your help...
Cheers,
Thomas Jacobsson
